Blankets

There was a time when having a beautiful blanket made for you meant that you were ready to marry.This was a time when most material possessions had no luxury of simply existing aesthetically,they had to have functional value as well.This meant that the makers of even the simplest of things,an apron,a table cloth or a blanket seized the moment and made these practical items things of beauty.

Inspired

Often the reason why certain pieces come to life and become animated is entirely dependent on the wearer. This is made evident to me on different shoots I have done time and time again. It is as though the model has some ephemeral past life connection with the item,an inherited memory perhaps... For some reason the clothing taps into some inner psyche and it almost always shows.
