The latest Chloe Spring Campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti starring Malgosia Bela has brought back a sense of dressing up and dressing down to the forefront of fashion. The notion that a well cut flowy gown will see you through the glamourous nights and that a great pair of pants and boots will keep you chic through the days, is an age old one. This 'seperatist aesthetic' has recently become lost in the humdrum of the 'anything goes' rule. Denim at night, chiffon for day... We have lost a sense of decorum and sadly in doing so, become slightly less impressive. When a woman who wears great skirt suits and sporty jodphurs during the day suddenly appears in a creamy Charlotte Rampling number in the evening, we are inevitably enchanted by her transformation. It feels as though Chloe is one of the last labels that understands this and manages to distinguish between night and day.
