




Something has gone slightly awry in the realm of masculine appeal. It is as though because men have lost the ability to embody the frivolous, slightly feminine edge-which ironically allowed their masculinity to become more pronounced, they have become shadows of their former selves. Plato' s cave dwellers, watching flickering images of themselves when they understood that the luxury of feeling beautiful had nothing to do with feeling emasculated.
