Nostalgia








This is a photo of Michelle Phillips getting her face painted. What i like about it is that she is getting her face painted. What makes these photos engaging and special is that the activities of its protagonists are real, non fabricated. Today we construct fashion shoots and attempt to emulate a time when carefree style was something that simply occurred without pulling tugging and nipping the corners to suggest it. I look at Carly Simon in the street swinging a crochet bag and smiling like a cheshire cat and regret that this naturalism has been lost.
