Youth calls back from tarmac and tyre tracks, trees in summer and the smell of grass





I remember being very sunburnt, gold and about nine, I remember the brown of my knees folded up as I sat on a grassy lawn, with a friend who ate sweets out of a bag and occasionally muttered something my way. I recall it was summer and days stretched well past eight, and because of this we were allowed out, late...
